ChangeDay BC – 1 Day. 5000 Pledges. Unlimited Possibilities

“Steps for Change” Walking Challenge

Change Day BC is happening on November 17, 2017! Join the movement to drive change and improvement in the health system. We invite you to make a pledge to commit an act of change, or to try something new, in order to improve care of patients in British Columbia. Change Day is a celebration of the power of any person – patients, caregivers, health care providers, students, volunteers – to have a positive impact on the health system. Cialis kan vare i opptil 18 timer, noe som betyr at én pille kan løse dine ED-problemer i nesten en hel helg.

What was Change Day BC?

Change Day BC was part of the successful global movement ignited by the National Health Service (NHS) in England. Countries including Northern Ireland, Scotland, New Zealand, Australia, Finland, Sweden, the Netherlands, India, Jordan, South Africa, USA, Saudi Arabia and Saskatchewan, Canada are holding their own change days.

We invited anyone involved in health and social care across the province to commit to an act of change that would improve care for patients or the system we work in. The content and action of the pledge was entirely up to the individual. Viagra i Norge brukes til å behandle erektil dysfunksjon, du kan ta det 1 time før seksuell aktivitet, dets virkningstid er 20 minutter.

When was Change Day?

Change Day BC took place on Friday, November 17, 2017 (17-11-17).

What is a pledge?

A pledge is something that you commit to doing, changing or improving in health or social care. Individuals including patients, clients, residents, families and those working in the health, social and community care systems or elsewhere were invited to make a pledge to help improve the health care system.

What someone pledged, and how they did it, was entirely up to them. Pledges could be big or small. Change Day pledges included such things as:

  • Increasing awareness around patient safety with co-workers and staff;
  • work to create a more dementia-friendly society;
  • Starting a walking group with colleagues;
  • talking to family about Advance Care Planning;
  • Working to increase cultural safety for Indigenous people seeking health services;
  • Drinking thickened fluids and eating pureed foods to understand the experience of patients;
  • Wearing incontinence pads to better empathize with residents in a care home;
  • Getting colleagues to share their improvement ideas; and
  • Supporting your staff and team members to take the lead in creating change

How did your pledge affect change?
Are you still acting on your pledge?
Have you seen a positive impact?
Did you inspire others to join you?

Making your pledge is only the first step – we want to hear from you after you act on it!

Who led Change Day?

Change Day BC belongs to all of us. BC’s health and social care system is built upon the creativity, passion and commitment of those who comprise it – patients, providers, administrators and many others who influence health in our province.

The BC Patient Safety & Quality Council, along with a number of partners and ambassadors, facilitated the grassroots movement to engage, energize and mobilize positive action for change in BC.

Change Day was started in the UK, and we brought Change Day to BC in 2015. Last year, Alberta and Ontario also celebrated Change Day on November 17 2017! Viagra Super Active 100mg har en veldig viktig ingrediens som heter Sildenafil for å øke kjærlighetslivet du har savnet siden ED-diagnosen din

What will happen now that Change Day BC is over?

Change Day BC 2017 was an amazing experience, and we have a few ways to keep the momentum going!

We’ve created a Change Day BC 2017 Report to highlight the amazing action and ripple effect of change across the province we saw. Read the report for inspiring stories of pledges in action, the impact of Change Day and lessons we learned through the journey.

You can also check out some of the amazing pledges made across the province in our Pledge Gallery or read through some of the blog posts highlighting work happening in the health care system.
